cancellation policy

Dear guests,

For all your courses, dive trips, snorkeling/boat trips we organise our schedule according to your wishes and exclusively book boat space, guides and instructors for you. We might have to turn other guests down in order to guarantee you a comfortable group size, special dive dive requests or your course schedule.

Please be advised of our cancellation policy prior to confirm any booking.

When you are booking or signing up for any of our services, advanced payment (50% deposit) is required to guarantee a booking.

Once you received a confirmation your reservation is guaranteed. In order to maintain our commitment to all of our guest, Scuba Tech West Indies Ltd operates a strict cancellation policy:

30 days or more prior to course/trip date: 80% refund

15 days or less to course/trip date: 75% refund

7 days or less to course/trip date: 50% refund

48 hours or less to course/trip date: No refund

Cancellations, no shows or late arrivals for any reasons – e.g. but not limited to: illness, injury, indecision, weather conditions, change of mind… – are charged in full.

If you are enrolled in a course and are cancelling a scheduled session less than 7 days before or you do not appear for this appointment for any reason – e.g. but not limited to: illness, injury, indecision, weather conditions, change of mind… – you will be charged US$110.00 for rescheduling. Rescheduling will then take place according to the Dive Centre logistics.

All programs or deposits are non-transferable, cannot, also not partly be refunded or credited towards a later date.

Scuba Tech West Indies Ltd is not responsible for dives/courses/trips aborted due to fear, inability to equalise, ear problems due to improper equalisation, self-induced illness, or other issues uncontrollable by the dive operator. Once the diver/guest has boarded the boat, is understood they are committed to the dive schedule of the boat and therefore no refund will be due.

Scuba Tech West Indies Ltd has a zero tolerance policy for “drinking and diving”. Anyone showing up for the dive hungover or smelling of alcohol will not be allowed on the boat and will not be issued a refund. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy.

Programs cancelled by Scuba Tech West Indies Ltd for any reason – e.g but not limited to: poor weather conditions – will allow the guest the option to reschedule (based on availability) or to receive a refund for that particular day. Please be assured that refunds and rescheduling will be handled as fairly and efficiently as possible in this event.

Scuba Tech West Indies Ltd reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time with no refund if divers deemed to be unsafe, do not follow the dive plans, disobey Project Aware regulations or are otherwise disrespectful to the crew.
